Ideas, Suggestions

Craft Wood is a not for profit therapeutic project that has the fortune to look after and manage a piece of a Derbyshire woodland. We are always looking for ideas/suggestions to help develop a budding locally rooted enterprise.

Ideas made to date – raised walkways, all weather paths, better access (working on this), making a compost toilet (we have done it!), a weekend wood workers group, tree house building, family days + bunting, affordable summer holiday activities, wildlife photography (just starting), an outdoor cooking area (with a pizza oven), a wood lab (currently in concept stage), a forest college program (as step on from forest school) – in first draft , forest bathing, an outdoor coffee and craft group, ponds (slowing down the water cycle), a large open fronted wood craft barn, a writers group/ artists in residence, liaising with a local university (we have made connections) , camp outs, a walking group.

Please get in touch if you have an idea/suggestion or are interested in working with us/ collaborating / volunteering /
